Baby Pear Purée with Cinnamon

Naturally sweet, softly spiced and oh-so comforting! This pear purée with a hint of cinnamon is a gentle, flavourful way to introduce something sweet to your little one. Make a batch, then store it the smarter way in your Consol Glass Preserve Jar (250ml) or Consol Glass Madrid Baby Container (130ml) - keeping every spoonful fresh, pure and exactly as you made it.

Ingredients:

  • 6 Pears, peeled and roughly chopped

  • 1/8 tsp Cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup Water

Method:

  1. Place the chopped pears (seeds removed) into a medium saucepan with the cinnamon and water. Cover with a lid.

  2. Cook over medium-low heat for 10- 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pears are soft and easily pierced with a fork.

  3. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.

  4. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the pears to a blender or food processor, reserving the cooking liquid.

  5. Blend together until smooth, about 1- 2 minutes.

  6. If needed, add some of the reserved cooking liquid (a little at a time) until you reach your desired consistency.

  7. Let the purée cool completely before serving or storing in a Consol Glass Preserve Jar (250ml) or Consol Glass Madrid Round Baby Container (130ml).
